On Tuesday 11 May 2010 we are making some changes to the data that is output by WHOIS.

As part of our reseller data service, the WHOIS and WHOIS2 will output any data that a registrar has supplied concerning a reseller associated to a domain name.

Reseller data service

We launched the first phase of our reseller data service last month. This allows registrars that operate reseller programmes to submit data about their resellers and to link them to domain names. On Tuesday 11 May the second phase of the project will go live. This will see reseller data, where supplied, included in the emails that we send to registrants, as well as on WHOIS.
